The Perth International Jazz Festival is less than a month away! If you haven't already, go and check out the PIJF website for all the details. There are some great artists and a whole lot of free events. The ticketed events are an absolute bargain, so secure yours and start planning a stellar weekend of music. To kick off the weekend, I'll be playing at The Terrace Hotel on Friday 29 May from 5pm to 8pm. Its a free event in a fantastic venue. All you have to do is turn up and order a drink or three - couldn't be easier.  We'll have Fiona Lawe Davies 5 lighting up the stage, with Chris Foster (piano), Alistair Peel (double bass), Bronton Ainsworth (drums) and Alistair McEvoy (sax). I look forward to sharing some music with you at the festival. Fiona IMG_9097-1

This Saturday 29 March is your last chance to catch jazzing up your afternoon  at The Terrace Hotel - we'll be playing between 1 and 4pm. We've loved being a part of the team at The Terrace - its a beautiful venue with fantastic food and lovely staff. Chris Foster and I will be revelling in the view and the music - we'd love it if you could join us. This Friday night finds me at the Como Hotel with Chris Foster and Nick Abbey between 5pm and 8pm - I was a bit slow with my March dates, but April dates will be up soon. Come and support a venue that supports live music - its another beautiful setting, so no hardship involved. Fiona

Thanks to all those who came to the gig last Saturday - what a fun night we had! I especially revelled in our new take on one of our post punk new wave tunes, but every song was enjoyable from where I was. There were a lot of new faces in the crowd, which is great to see - I hope those who bought a cd are enjoying them! Keep an eye on the website for our next Ellington performance and in the meantime come and visit us at  Como Hotel on Friday nights or The Terrace Hotel on Saturday afternoons (see an earlier post for February dates). Or you can come with your honey to dine at Must Winebar this Friday night - we'll be playing 7pm to 10pm. Remember that you can follow me on Facebook or twitter or sign up for the mailing list from my website to keep up with the latest gig news.
