Thanks to all those that braved the cold and the Wednesday-ness to warm up at the Ellington! It was a stellar evening of music – thanks to James Sandon, Chris Foster, Shane Pooley & Michael Perkins. We added a few new songs to the rep – they’re definitely keepers. Keep an ear out for Real Emotional Girl, Glory Box & This Love Affair at future gigs.

I loved singing the new songs and I think we brought some beautiful melancholy to River Man and Between the Bars. My highlights include James’ beautiful playing on River Man (and everything else), Shane’s sexy solo on Do It Again, Chris’ left hand heavy work on Gee Baby Ain’t I Good to You and Michael’s beat on Glory Box. The sassy Matt O’Donohue was in the house taking photos, so I’ll post some in the gallery soon.

We’ll be back at the Ellington – keep an eye on the website for news! In the meantime, come and say hello to us at The George on Saturday nights in June.

Come and join us for some mid-week jazz action on Wednesday 2 June at The Ellington Jazz Club. Book your spot for 8pm to enjoy a night of fantastic music with me, Chris Foster, Shane Pooley & Michael Perkins. Joining us will be special guest, the incredible James Sandon.

For those of you who missed out on the cd launch, you’ll be relieved to know that we’ll have the cd for sale at the gig – so you can take a bit of the band home with you at the end of the night.

Tables sold out fast for the album launch, so point your browser to The Ellington website stat.
