The Perth International Jazz Festival is less than a month away! If you haven’t already, go and check out the PIJF website for all the details. There are some great artists and a whole lot of free events. The ticketed events are an absolute bargain, so secure yours and start planning a stellar weekend of music.

To kick off the weekend, I’ll be playing at The Terrace Hotel on Friday 29 May from 5pm to 8pm. Its a free event in a fantastic venue. All you have to do is turn up and order a drink or three – couldn’t be easier.  We’ll have Fiona Lawe Davies 5 lighting up the stage, with Chris Foster (piano), Alistair Peel (double bass), Bronton Ainsworth (drums) and Alistair McEvoy (sax).

I look forward to sharing some music with you at the festival.

We’re breaking out the quintet lineup for a great gig next to the Freshwater Bay Museum in Claremont on Sunday 13 April. Its billed as Soul for Seniors, but I’m guessing you don’t have to provide proof of age to attend………We’re hitting the stage for two sets from 5.30pm. There’s going to be soul food galore and we’re encouraging attendees to put their dancing shoes to good use, so dig yours out and come join us!

Tickets are free, but you must register to attend – check out the Town of Claremont website for bookings.

A last minute gig! I’m stepping into the high heels of Penny King tonight at The Ellington Jazz Club. The poor lady has lost her voice, so instead of continuing my home renovation expedition in Bunnings today I’ve prepared a fantastic set list to play with some great musicians tonight. Come on down and join us for the music!

8pm show with Graham Wood, Nick Abbey, Simon Jeans and Ben Falle.
